Malerkotla, January 29,2019: Jaswinder Kaur Sidhua alias Jassi murder case accused mother Malkiat Kaur Sidhu and uncle Surjit Singh Badesha have been sent to judicial custody till February 12. The accused were produced in Malerkotla court on Tuesday. Duo have been produced after their remand for 4 days got over.
The accused have been sent to Sangrur central court till February 12.
"The police demanded two days remand to interrogate the accused regarding bank accounts and money transfer. Since the details of the money transfer were already revealed during the case of Darshan Singh, co-accused in the case, the court rejected the demand for extension in remand",said Simrandeep Singh Sandhu, counsel for accused.
Further, Sandhu informed that no coercive methods were used on the accused while interrogation.
DSP Palwinder Singh Cheema said that though we wanted extension in the remand to investigate about the bank accounts of the accused and to know about how the transfer of money took place, but we have not got the permission for it.
