Modi govt appoints Justice(rtd) Saron as new Chief Commissioner Gurdwara Elections
New Delhi, October 7, 2020: Modi government has appointed Justice (retd) SS Saron as the new Chief Commissioner Gurdwara (CCG) elections canceling the earlier orders to appoint Justice (retd) Darshan Singh as CCG.
The appointment letter says the tenure of Justice Saron will be two years from the date of assuming charge. The main responsibility of the Chief Commissioner Gurdwara Elections is to hold elections to the General House of SGPC.
Justice Saron was appointed Chairman, Punjab Revenue Commission by Captain govt and still he is holding this office.
