DCM Group of Schools’ students invent UV Floor Sanitizer Robot at ATL Lab
Ferozepur, August 27, 2020: To eliminate the Coronavirus by taking precautionary measures, various sectors are working at the global level, for new inventions since the outbreak of coronavirus and the students of this border town while working at Atal Tinkering Lab set-up at Dass and Brown School have invented UV floor sanitizer Robot.
Anirudh Gupta, CEO, DCM Group of Schools said, with the changing scenario, we are imparting skill-based education as per the demand in the market under the Make in India progamme based on start-up, research and production based units.
Giving the demonstration of the basic Robot model to the media persons, The Group's Assistant CEO, Dr. Gopan Gopala Krishnan, said that he performs brain-storming sessions among students and shares his thinking in addition to research to remove social evils and other inventions by children. He said that in the meantime the children gave the idea of making a robot to eliminate coronaviruses, which would automatically sanitize with the help of UV. This robot has taken about 28 days to prepare and has UV lights, sensors, micro-controllers and motors. This robot is fully automated and has UV lights on the floor so that it does not have any side effects on the human body.
Dr. Gopan told that we have applied for the patent of this model of Robot, which is the first time in the history of the school.
ATL mentor Sahil Arora – who has been included in the first 5 best mentors in the country by NITI Aayog and Atl Innovation Mission - said that the ATL Lab of DCM Group of Schools is among the 10 best labs in India and DC Model Senior Secondary School has been declared as ATL of the Month in schools with premier Atal Tinkering Lab in the country for five consecutive months.
Senior Executive Science and Technology Hitaya said that students are innovating every day in school. He said that apart from being twice selected for the students of DCM at the CBSE Science Exhibition at the national level, the students here have shown a lot of their skills at the Vibrant Gujarat Startup and Technology Summit and the Goa Conference organized by Nobel Prize Series India.
