Big jolt to BJP : After Shiv Sena and Akali Dal, third ally quits NDA
New Delhi, December 26, 2020 : The BJP received a big jolt on Saturday when after Shiv Sena and Akali Dal another ally from Rajasthan announced to quit NDA.
The Rashtriya Loktantrik Party leader Hanuman Beniwal said that their part was quitting the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) to protest the three agricultural laws that have provoked massive demonstrations by farmers.
He said that he was not stuck with Fevicol with NDA. He said that today he separates himself from NDA. He announced that they will not stand with anyone who is against farmers. He made this announcement while addresing protesters at the Shahjahanpur-Kheda border in Rajasthan's Alwar district after leading rally against the new laws and promising a march to Delhi.
He said that he was stopped from entering the Lok Sabha with a fudged Covid report. Had he been there he would have thrown away the copy of the farm bills in the house
Beniwal, a Lok Sabha MP from Rajasthan's Nagaur, had launched the Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) in Rajasthan after quitting the BJP before the 2018 state polls. The party allied with the BJP ahead of the 2019 general elections.
