SGPC sets up 25-bed Corona Center at Gurdwara Bajidpur to deal with Corona epidemic
SGPC to procure around one lakh doses of corona vaccine for immunization
Ferozepur May 20, 2021: To deal with Corona epidemic, Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has set up a 25-bed center at Gurudwara Bajidpur in Ferozepur which was inaugurated today by Sukhbir Singh Badal President Shiromani Akali Dal and SGPC President Bibi Jagir Kaur.
Oxygen Concentrators have also been installed along with the beds in this Corona Hospital set up by SGPC to treat patients of Level One, Level Two of Covid.
On this occasion, Bibi Jagir Kaur informed that 4 more hospitals will be built in the coming days. The staff of these centers has been recruited by the SGPC from Guru Ram Dass Medical College.
Sukhbir Singh Badal said that the number of Covid patients are increasing and the death toll is doubling day by day and the SGPC has taken this initiative to control the Corona Epidemic in the villages. Corona centers are being set up in gurdwaras to treat Level One and Level Two patients.
He said, the Capt government should waive off the electricity, water and house tax bills as a relief to the people during the lockdown adding government should provide some relief to the people of Punjab as the financial condition of the people has deteriorated due to the lockdown.
He said that the SGPC would soon provide a dose of around one lakh vaccines to the people.
