SVEEP Educational Fair Competition Inspires Civic Engagements
Ferozepur, May 1, 2024: The Tehsil Level SVEEP Educational Fair Competition recently concluded at Shaheed Udham Singh University College in Mohan Ke, leaving an indelible impression on the youth of Guruharshahai constituency in Ferozepur district. Organized under the guidance of the Chief Election Officer of Punjab and led by District Election Officer cum Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Dhiman and Assistant Returning Officer cum SDM Guruharshahai Sh. Gagandeep Singh, this event marked a significant step in preparing for the upcoming Punjab polling on June 1, 2024.
The fair featured a range of engaging competitions including poster making, rangoli decorating, SVEEP song, and street plays, showcasing the creative talents of over 100 students from various senior secondary schools in the Tehsil. Tehsildar Rajinder Singh and Principal Sunil Khosla actively supported and encouraged the participants, emphasizing the importance of fearless voting and democratic participation.
Principal Sunil Khosla highlighted the objective of these SVEEP activities, aiming to significantly boost voter turnout during the seventh phase of the Lok Sabha elections across Punjab. He stressed that motivated and informed voters play a pivotal role in electing capable representatives for the 18th Lok Sabha.
The event's success was further amplified by the dedicated support of College professor Gurmeet Singh, Shivali, Reena Kamboj, and Parvinder Singh Lalchian, SVEEP Coordinator, who played a crucial role in judging the competitions and ensuring a memorable experience for all participants.
