Chandigarh, May 7, 2024: Senior Congress leader and joint India Alliance candidate from Chandigarh Parliamentary Constituency, Manish Tiwari, has said that unlike BJP's slogans, Congress' thinking is focused on people's welfare, including youth, women, workers and farmers. All sections of the society will benefit.
The former Union minister also said that after the completion of the third phase of voting, it is now clear that the BJP has been wiped out and the formal announcement will be made after the counting of votes on June 4.
Meanwhile, while talking to the local residents, traders, shopkeepers, government and private employees during the walking tour in Sector 35, Tiwari mentioned some of the promises made by the Congress to the people of the country, especially to employ the poor families and regular monthly payments. The latter includes financial assistance as well as related promises. This walk was organized by Councilor Prem Lata and A.S. Gujral did.
During this Tiwari along with Chandigarh Congress President H.S. Lucky, Councilor Damanpreet Singh and Jasveer Singh Bunty, Ravinder Kaur Gujral and others were present.He revealed that currently unemployment in the country is at the highest level in the last 45 years.
He said that under the first job-guaranteed scheme, every fresh graduate and diploma holder across the country will be given a one-year apprenticeship with a guaranteed income of Rs 1 lakh.
He said that such revolutionary steps can only help the 70 crore unemployed people of the country and this work can be done only by Congress and India together.
The India Alliance candidate said that every poor family across the country will get Rs 8500 per month. This amount will be directly deposited in the bank account of the senior female member.
He said that only such measures can help in providing relief to the people, whose benefits are goal-oriented.
He said that in the last 10 years, people have seen only skyrocketing inflation and widespread unemployment and the BJP has nothing but 'jumla after jumla' to ease the suffering of the people.
