Ludhiana, May 8, 2024: Ravneet Bittu, BJP candidate from Ludhiana today made a call of conscience to the Sarpanches and Panches of Punjab to prevent a section of farmers from blocking the entry of BJP leaders in the villages. He said that he was part of the farmers' agitation and understood their pain.
In a video message to all, Ravneet Bittua said that the BJP was the only party that could help in the development of Punjab.
He said that the state government under Bhagwant Mann is heading for bankruptcy and has no funds for the development. He said that huge central grants were sent for Punjab's development by the centre government. He said that he himself distributed huge central grants in villages under projects approved by 14th and 15 Finance Commission.
Bittu said that Prime Minister Narender Modi has a vision for development. He cited the case of UP and Bihar which were backward states but now an era of development has changed the life of people there. He said that Congress and AAP had no roadmap for the development of Punjab.
Bittu further said that he sat on dharna at Jantar Mantar for over a year in support of farmer's demands and he was the first to raise voice against three anti-farmer agriculture laws. He said that Harsimrat Kaur Badal SAD MP was party in passing of these laws. He said that he and his grandfather Sardar Beant Singh had always maintained cordial relations with the people of rural areas and worked hard for their welfare.
"It is painful for me to see that some farmers were not allowing him and other BJP leaders to enter villages". Farmers must lodge their protest but not allowing them to enter villages was unfair. He said the farmers should question the AAP and Congress leaders on their contribution in farmer's agitation and for the welfare of rural people. He said that he should get back his due from the people of Punjab.
He said that Narender Modi had no only constructed Ram Mandir, he had also opened the Kartarpur Sahib corridor and Sikh community shall not forget this gesture of Prime Minister.
