SKM calls for bigger protest on 100th day, Think before voting on, says Pandher
Ferozepur, May 13, 2024: The farmers continue to hold protests against the Modi government at the Shambu and other borders demanding the release of three arrested farmers and a guarantee for MSP and today 150 trains were disrupted.
As per the railway release, today, 154 trains were hit - Short-terminated 2 trains, short-originated 2 trains, cancelled 46 trains, and diverted 104 trains – causing inconvenience to the public and also putting a huge loss to the railway, on the 26th day of Rail-Roko campaign on Ambala-Amritsar track.
The farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher said the BJP and its allies are facing the ire of farmers in villages of Haryana and Punjab due to Lok Sabha elections being held in the country and farmer’s anger is at its peak in Ambala even during the hot weather conditions. Pandher appealed to the people that before voting they should think about the protest by the farmers who are fighting for their rights.
He alleged that the BJP has crossed all limits of democracy and has not yet released the three farmers. They again warned the BJP that the BJP should remember that the path to power goes through our villages and in the coming days the BJP may also have to pay a huge price for this.
They demanded answers to the questions like - Why were walls built on the roads leading to the country's capital? Why were bullets fired at Shubhakaran Singh and other farmers? Why were tear gas and other shells fired at unarmed farmers? Why did Haryana Police pick up Pritpal Singh in a bag and beat him up? Why did the BJP go against its written promises? Why were farmers stopped from going to Delhi? Why was Shubhakaran Singh murdered?
They said that the BJP has no answer to these questions, and according to the information received, these questions are being asked by farmers and villagers from almost all the villages of Punjab and Haryana to the BJP and its allies, to which BJP leaders have no answer.
On completion of 90 days Kisan Andolan-2, Kisan Mazdoor Morcha and SKM (Non-Political) informed that the farmers are standing at Shambhu, Khanori, Dabwali, Ratanpur border with full passion and enthusiasm for their demands. Irrespective of the increasing heat and storm, the farmers are ready to face every coercion from the BJP. On the 100th day, there will be a huge gathering at all four borders to register our protest.
