- Chandigarh , February 25, 2015: Election for the 122 Municipal Council/ Nagar Panchayats has been concluded peacefully. The State Election Commission has decided to conduct re-polling at two wards out the total 2062 wards due to some unsavory incidents. Disclosing this here today an official spokesperson of the State Election Commission said that re-polling would be conducted at the booth number 14 & 15 of ward 7 of Samana and at booth numbers 31, 32 &33 of ward 14 of Ferozpur. The spokesperson said that at Samana re-polling has been ordered due to causing damage to the Electronic Voting Machines whereas at Ferozpur election process has been stopped due the objection raised by the voters on the voters lists. He said the re-polling at these places would be conducted on March 8.
