Delhi High Courts stays the Delhi Gurudwara Committee Elections
Court orders to complete the photo voter list and delimitation within a month Next hearing fixed for March 22 Sarna accuses Badal Dal for creating hurdles New Delhi, February 7 (BB): Delhi High Court has state the Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Mangement Committee Elections scheduled to be held on March 11. Justice Vipin Singhvi has ordered to complete the photo voter list within a month. Thr court also directed the Gurudwara Election Board for delimitation of constituency according the new voter list. The decision to hold elections had been challenged by Dashmesh Sewa Society, Delhi. The society has challenge the voter lists and pleaded that the lists are not complete and should be updated with photos of the voters. The Court directed the Gurudwara Election Board to submitted a report on March 22 after the completion of photo voter list. Reacting to the postponement of elections the Delhi Gurudwara Committee President Paramjit Singh Sarna accused Akali Dal Badal for creating hurdles in the election process. He said that Badal Dal doing so fearing a defeat in the Gurudwara elections. He claimed that Akali Dal Delhi will sweep the elections.
