Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal on campaign trail in Budhlada
Chandigarh, January 11, 2017: Reacting angrily in the wake of shoe-throwing incident targeting Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal in his constituency, Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal openly said retaliation by Akali workers may have violent consequences.
Replying to a media query on the issue of unsavoury violent incidents during campaigning especially targeting Akalis, Harsimrat Badal, while on campaign trail in Budhlada town, minced no words when she said AAP workers would not stay alive if Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal told Akali workers to retaliate violently.
Venting her ire at AAP workers, she accused their leaders, referring to Bhagwant Mann, of religious and parliamentary misdemeanor as well as of provoking people in run up to the Assembly election. She also accused them of defaming Punjab in the Parliament. Ruing such undesirable behavior of AAP workers and leaders, she invoked the contribution of CM Badal to maintain harmony and peace in his 60 year long political career.
