Traders would benefit only under Congress govt at centre

Punjab Finance minister Manpreet Singh Badal today told traders that they would benefit only if Congress forms government at the centre as Congress would roll out new GST and provide full support to the new entrepreneurs on forming new government at the centre.
Strongly criticizing the Modi government, Manpreet Badal said “Due to wrong policies of the centre government and wrongly implementation of the GST, the business sector and small scale trade has been badly affected”.
Manpreet Badal today held meetings at Nai Basti, Poojawala Mohalla, Hazi Rattan, Ajit road, Vishal Nagar. Manpreet also met auto union members near railway station and he also listened to their grievances.
While addressing the public meetings, Manpreet Badal said the development of Bathinda is my core agenda and no stone will be left unturned. He assured that all the promises which he had done with the people of the city during 2017 election would be fulfilled. He said two years have gone and work on many projects is underway and still three years are left, a lot more will be done.
Lashing out at SAD-BJP rule, Manpreet said “People today are still paying price for the wrongdoings of the alliance policies as during their rule they only looted the hard earn money of the tax payers, where as they did nothing to revive the industry in the state”.
He also stated that he is trying to bring industry in the city, which can create jobs for the local youths and also boost the local market.
At meeting in the city, Vikram Garg District Media incharge of BJP joined congress party in the presence of Manpreet Badal.
Manpreet also stated that Rs 16 crore has been spent on the work of streets in the city. While Rs 20 crore is being spent to repair the sewerage system and sewerage work. The work of Ring Road will be completed in two years with the cost of Rs 95 crore and also a overbridge will be constructed at sanguana basti with a cost of Rs 95 crore. Apart from this, Rs 18 crore was being spent for the basic amenities in government schools in the city. Even the work on renovating water channels is also going on in the city.
Apart from him, finance minister’s wife Veenu Badal also holds public meetings in the city. She attended public meetings at Paras Ram Nagar, Power House road, Jujhar Singh Nagar, Guru Gobind Singh Nagar, Bibiwala road and Poojanwala Mohalla.
While addressing the public, she listed out the list of development works conducted by the Congress government in the last two years in the city. She appealed them to vote and support Congress candidate Amarinder Singh Raja Warring in lok sabha election on May 19.
