Motivational Seminar for Fashion Designing trainees held at New Generation Multi Skill Institute
Ferozepur, February 14, 2025 – The New Generation Multi Skill Institute, Ferozepur, under the Sarv Sakhrta Mission Society, founded by the late Subhash Kakkar, organized an inspiring seminar for trainees enrolled in the Fashion Designing course.
Established in 2007, the institute has successfully trained over 30,000 students in various skill development programs, particularly under the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY). The initiative primarily focuses on empowering young girls from rural areas, equipping them with skills to achieve self-reliance. Currently, around 70 students are undergoing training in Fashion Designing at the institute.
Anuj Kakkar, Chairman of the institute, welcomed the keynote speaker, Harish Monga— a social activist, author, artist, and motivational speaker. Addressing the students, Monga shared valuable insights from his personal journey, emphasizing dedication and perseverance as key factors in achieving success, whether as entrepreneurs or professionals.
Highlighting the role of women in society, he acknowledged their dual responsibilities—managing both their parental and marital families. He encouraged students to cultivate patience, transparency, and resilience to navigate life’s challenges successfully.
The seminar also featured an interactive Question-Answer session, where Monga addressed various queries from students. When one trainee inquired about career growth, he emphasized the importance of developing a habit of asking questions to stay updated. He also advised students to prioritize gaining experience over immediate financial gains, stating that compromising on wages initially can open doors to better opportunities in the future.
The teaching and non-taeching staff members - Sudesh Kumari, Payal Mainil Priya, A jail Pal and Vikash Singh - were also present on this occasion.
The session served as a motivational platform, reinforcing the importance of skill development and self-reliance among young women, empowering them to carve a niche in the fashion industry and beyond.
