CGC's Naya Savera Foundation trains 28 rural women in self-employment
Collaboration with PNB Kisan Training Center Fosters Entrepreneurship Under "From Kitchen to Employment" Initiative

Mohali (Punjab), December 8, 2024: Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC), Jhanjeri 's Naya Savera Foundation organized a self-employment training camp aimed at empowering women in rural areas. This initiative was held in collaboration with PNB Kisan Training Center, Fatehgarh Sahib, and was led by Bisman Dhaliwal, President of the Naya Savera Foundation.
Operating under the theme "From Kitchen to Employment," the workshop trained 28 women in entrepreneurship by honing their culinary skills. The participants were taught the preparation of pickles, chutneys, jams, candies, and marmalades.
Alongside these skills, they received valuable guidance on marketing, product sales, and strategies for starting their own ventures.Harpreet Singh Sidhu, Director of PNB Kisan Training Center, also briefed the attendees on obtaining financial assistance for launching new businesses.
Speaking at the event, Bisman Dhaliwal expressed her pride in the success of the workshop, emphasizing CGC's commitment to fostering growth in the surrounding communities under the leadership of CGC Jhanjeri MD Arsh Dhaliwal. She highlighted that this initiative was specifically designed to empower rural women by introducing them to new avenues for self-employment and economic independence.
"The Naya Savera Foundation is focused on inspiring self-reliance and progress across all sections of society," said Dhaliwal. "Through this training, we aim to create a sustainable impact, empowering women to harness available resources and create meaningful opportunities for themselves."
The event concluded with participants receiving certificates for successfully completing the training, symbolizing their readiness to embark on entrepreneurial journeys.
