Punjab Govt launches initiative to empower graduate girls with free CAT coaching

Moga (Punjab), March 21, 2025 – In a bid to empower graduate girls in Punjab, the state government has launched an initiative to provide free coaching for the Common Admission Test (CAT).
This program is being implemented by the Punjab Skill Development Mission (PSDM) in collaboration with the non-governmental organization 'Prayas.'
Sharing this information, Deputy Commissioner Sagar Setia, IAS, stated that the initiative aims to help graduate girls from Punjab secure admission to postgraduate management programs at top Indian business schools, including the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs).
To achieve this goal, PSDM and 'Prayas' will jointly conduct an aptitude test on March 30 to shortlist eligible candidates.Elaborating on the eligibility criteria, he said that applicants must be graduates or in the final year of their graduation.
Additionally, they must be residents of Punjab and belong to economically weaker sections. "We aim to provide this opportunity to as many girls as possible from Moga district. We urge colleges and educational institutions to coordinate with the district administration to ensure maximum participation," he added.
