UPSC releases final result for Indian Forest Service (IFS) Examination 2024

New Delhi, May 20, 2025: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the final result of the Indian Forest Service (IFS) Examination 2024, bringing relief and excitement to aspirants across the country.
The list of selected candidates is now available on the official UPSC website — upsc.gov.in.
Two-Stage Examination Process
The IFS examination was conducted in two phases. The written test was held from November 24 to December 1, 2024, while the personality test (interview) took place between April 21 and May 2, 2025.
143 Candidates Selected
This year, 143 candidates have been selected for the Indian Forest Service.
The selection process emphasized equal opportunity and inclusion, ensuring fair representation of candidates from all backgrounds, including those with disabilities.
From the General category, 40 candidates were selected, including 4 differently-abled candidates (2 from Category II and 2 from Category III).
Category-Wise Selection Breakdown:
- EWS (Economically Weaker Sections): 19 candidates
- OBC (Other Backward Classes): 50 candidates, including 1 differently-abled candidate (Category II)
- SC (Scheduled Castes): 23 candidates
- ST (Scheduled Tribes): 11 candidates
- Persons with Disabilities: 3 candidates from Category II and 2 from Category III

Candidates can follow these steps to check their results:
- Visit upsc.gov.in
- Click on the “What’s New” section
- Select the link titled “Indian Forest Service Final Result 2024”
- Open the PDF and search for your Roll Number using Ctrl + F
