CM Mann hands over appointment letters to 450 youths in Govt Departments

Chandigarh, May 20, 2025 – In a significant move to empower Punjab's youth, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann distributed appointment letters to nearly 450 candidates for various posts in government departments during a grand ceremony held in Chandigarh today.
The appointments span across departments including Agriculture, Water Resources, Sports, Local Government, Health, Education, Water Supply and Sanitation, Excise and Taxation, Finance, and Tourism.
Addressing the newly appointed recruits, CM Mann said, “No work is small or big. You have reached this stage through sheer hard work.” He added that if job opportunities are available within Punjab, youth won’t feel the urge to go abroad for employment.
He further highlighted the sacrifices of Punjab’s martyrs who fought for the country’s freedom, emphasizing the importance of contributing to the state’s development from within, rather than seeking work overseas.
The Chief Minister wished the appointees success in their roles and expressed confidence that their contributions would bring positive transformation to their respective departments.

- Agriculture Department – 184 candidates
- Water Resources Department – 28 candidates
- Sports Department – 55 coaches
- Local Government Department – 63 firemen, 24 assistant town planners
- Health Department – 6 candidates
- Education Department – 26 candidates
- Water Supply & Sanitation Department – 26 candidates
- PUDA (Punjab Urban Planning & Development Authority) – 22 candidates
- Excise & Taxation Department – 2 candidates
- Finance Department – 10 candidates
- Tourism & Culture Department – 4 candidates
CM Mann stated that the government remains committed to expanding employment avenues and accelerating Punjab’s progress by retaining talent within the state.
