Chandigarh Stalking Case: Charges frames against Ashish Barala and his friend
Chandigarh, October 13, 2017: A local court has framed charges against Vikas Barala, his friend Ashish Kumar in Chandigarh stalking case that made headlines in August this year. The accused Barala is son of Haryana BJP president Subhash Barala.
He and his friend were charged with abduction, wrongfully restraining, and stalking Varnika Kundu, daughter of a senior serving Haryana IAS officer, reported Hindustan Times.
The hearing in the case was adjourned for October 27, 2017.
Both accused were chargesheeted on September 21, almost one and half month after the incident.
Varnika, who was not present during the hearing, reportedly expressed happiness over the development.
