Dairy Dept holds Milk Awareness Camp at Meritorious School
Samples brought by students tested for quality found within prescribed standards
Ferozepur, August 25, 2026: Under the guidance of Deputy Director Dairy Development Randeep Kumar, an awareness camp on the importance and quality of milk was organised at Saragarhi Memorial Meritorious School, Hakam Singh Wala, Ferozepur, to educate school students about the nutritional value and significance of milk. Students and staff participated enthusiastically in the camp.
Addressing the students, Deputy Director Dairy Development Randeep Kumar explained the importance and composition of milk. He also highlighted the differences between milk and soft drinks and apprised the students of the possible harmful effects of excessive consumption of soft drinks on health.
Dairy Development Inspector Amandeep Singh informed the students about the various nutrients present in milk, its impact on the human body and its importance in daily life. He encouraged the students to make milk a regular part of their diet.
During the camp, milk samples brought by the students were tested for quality, and the results were shared with them. The samples were found to be within the prescribed standards.
Deputy Director and the team of the Dairy Development Department expressed their gratitude to the school Principal, District Education Officer Dr. Satinder Singh, Vice-Principal Sukriti Sharma, Sunil Kamboj and the entire school staff for their cooperation and contribution towards organising the awareness camp.
Deputy Director Randeep Kumar honoured the Vice-Principal with a memento in recognition of the support extended towards the programme. The camp concluded with refreshments provided by Verka for the participating students.
