Edu Dept conducts Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) event in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, March 26, 2025: Under the NIPUN Bharat initiative, the Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) program was conducted at Government Primary School, Lakha Haji, Block Ferozepur-3, following government guidelines. The event was held under the guidance of the esteemed District Education Officer, Ferozepur, and the Block Primary Education Officer, Ferozepur-3.
School head Karaj Singh Sidhu emphasized the importance of FLN - (Foundational Literacy and Numeracy) -in ensuring that children acquire essential reading, writing, and basic arithmetic skills by the end of Class 3, laying a strong foundation for future learning. The program, designed to enhance literacy and numeracy skills in young learners, witnessed active participation from students, parents, School Management Committee members, and the local Panchayat.
The event featured various stalls showcasing students' creative works, which were well-received by attendees. Block Primary Education Officer Sardar Ranjit Singh congratulated the staff and encouraged students to continue their learning journey. Center Head Teacher Sardar Gurmeet Singh shared his experiences with the children, while Teacher Sardar Kulwant Singh from Government Primary School, Nanak Nagri, highlighted the significance of sports in life and motivated students to engage in physical activities.
The event saw the presence of the entire school staff, including Lakhwinder Singh, Jaswinder Singh, Baldev Singh, Rajinder Singh, Simar Kaur, Komal Madam, Salwinder Kaur, Kailash Kaur, Gurmeet Kaur, Saroj Kaur, and Nirmal Kaur, among others.
