GNDU unveils UCET (UG) 2025 counseling schedule

Amritsar (Punjab), July 2, 2025: Guru Nanak Dev University has released the counseling schedule for the University Common Entrance Test (UCET) 2025, paving the way for undergraduate admissions in the PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics), and PCM/B streams.
The detailed schedule, now available on the university’s official admissions portal, sets the stage for a streamlined admission process for aspiring students. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Karamjeet Singh said that students have shown significant interest in admissions at Guru Nanak Dev University for the 2025-26 session.
The admission process is being conducted with complete transparency. Many students have already been admitted to various courses.Additionally, the University has provided a separate 5 percent quota for students from rural and border areas to pursue higher education this year.
In the next phase, the admission process based on a merit list prepared from test results will commence on July 03, 2025. Dr. Tejwant Singh Kang is the Coordinator for the process. The onging counseling process is being managed by Dr. Balwinder Singh, who is ensuring complete transparency in the proceedings.
Dr. Tajwant Singh Kang said that the counseling will kick off as per the announced timeline, with candidates assigned specific reporting times based on their ranks.
In adherence to Punjab Government directives, the process prioritizes General Category admissions, allowing SC/Backward Class candidates to compete in the General Category merit list. Reserved category admissions will follow, excluding those already admitted under the General Category.
He said that all admissions are provisional and subject to cancellation if any submitted information is found false or fabricated. The category claimed during registration is final and cannot be changed during or after counseling.
Candidates must carry original documents, self-attested photocopies, and a printed copy of their online application, including the counseling form, admit card, matriculation certificate, +2 detailed marks card, character certificate, passport-sized photographs, and relevant reservation/residence certificates as outlined in the 2025-26 Prospectus Annexures.
He said that the University has also shared approximate first-semester fee details for each course, ensuring transparency. Candidates are urged to visit the official portal (https://www.gnduadmissions.org/CampusAdmissionsTloginWithStudentID2021.aspx) to download forms and prepare accordingly.
