GOI team evaluates health infrastructure and programs in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, July 24: A team from the Regional Office of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, Chandigarh, visited Ferozepur to review the implementation of various health schemes and programmes being run to provide quality healthcare services to the public.
The visiting team was led by Dr. Mayur, Medical Officer, and included Chief Technical Officer Gurmukh Singh, Technical Officer Pushkar Singh, along with Ms. Pooja and Ms. Seema. The team inspected facilities at the Civil Hospital, Community Health Centres, Primary Health Centres, and Ayushman Arogya Kendras to assess the availability and quality of healthcare services.
During their visit, the team reviewed records related to several national health programmes, including maternal and child health services, immunisation, JSY, NCD, RBSK, RKSK, NVBDCP, IDSP, and NTEP, among others.
Dr. Mayur informed that as per the directions of the central government, data is being collected from each district on the ongoing schemes and a detailed report is being prepared to be submitted to the Centre. He stated that the primary aim of this review is to ensure better implementation and necessary improvements in the schemes so that the public can benefit more effectively.
He added that wherever shortcomings are found, they will be rectified to ensure seamless access to healthcare services. A meeting will also be held with Dr. Rajwinder Kaur, Civil Surgeon of Ferozepur, to discuss the report and findings.
The team expressed satisfaction with the health programmes running in the district and also shared suggestions to further enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of health services.
