The Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna has emerged as a national benchmark in healthcare, with over 30.51 lakh families enrolled and Rs 292 crore worth of free treatments approved within just three months of its launch on January 8, 2026.
Highlighting the achievements of the Punjab Government over the past four years, Hardeep Sra, Chairman of the District Planning Committee, Bathinda, addressed the public during the ongoing campaign ‘Shaandaar Chaar Saal Bhagwant Mann De Naal’ According to him, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s government has successfully delivered on all promises made to the people of Punjab.
Sra stated that the citizens of Punjab have expressed immense satisfaction with the government’s performance, as it has taken groundbreaking decisions to improve the state. Key sectors have been revitalized through various development programs, benefiting people across the board.
Highlighting their initiatives, Sra emphasized that the state government has prioritized citizen welfare through projects like Aam Aadmi Clinics that ensure access to quality healthcare, Schools of Eminence fostering groundbreaking changes in education, and infrastructure upgrades for educational institutions under its education revolution. Alongside these efforts, the government has expanded the state’s sports infrastructure and introduced cashless medical treatment benefits of up to Rs 10 lakh for every family.
He noted that 80 percent of households in Punjab now benefit from 600 units of free electricity. For the first time in history, farmers have access to uninterrupted daytime power supply, and canal water is being provided to irrigate the lands of lakhs of farmers.
The Chairman also pointed out employment opportunities as another significant achievement, with over 64,000 government jobs distributed transparently among Punjab's youth. Furthering its commitment to women's financial empowerment, the state launched the 'Mawan-Dhiyan Satkar Yojana,' under which the current budget allocates Rs. 1,500 per month to Scheduled Caste women and Rs. 1,000 per month to women from general categories.
Under the anti-drug initiative ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh,’ significant progress has been made in the fight against substance abuse, with many drug traffickers apprehended. In addition, substantial efforts are underway to rehabilitate young individuals battling addiction.
The Chairman concluded by reiterating that the Punjab Government remains committed to fulfilling its promises and continues to work towards transforming lives across the state.
