Rising COVID cases in Chandigarh: 967 cases and 1 death in a day

Chandigarh, January 10, 2022:
Chandigarh reported 967 new COVID-19 positive cases on Monday. A death due to COVID was also reported in the last 24 hours.
As per the information released by the health department, UT Chandigarh, the total number of active cases in Chandigarh stands at 3253.
In the last 24 hours, the department has tested 4181 samples. As per the figure, 1081 deaths have been reported in Chandigarh due to COVID-19 to date.
Likewise, the total number of patients who have tested positive to date stands at 69388.

Discharged Patients:-
Today 77 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 7 days and are asymptomatic, as per MoHFW guidelines.
COVID Death:-
A 68 year old male resident of Dadumajra was brought dead to GMSH sector 16.He had tested positive for COVID posthumously. He was a known case of Heart disease, hypertension and diabetes mellitus.
