Now, Seva Kendras in Punjab become eco-friendly, to send fee receipts through SMS
Ferozepur , May 18, 2023: In an eco-friendly initiative, Department of Administrative Reforms Punjab has decided to send the receipts of fees paid for government services at Seva Kendra to the applicants via SMS on their mobile phones, said Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Dhiman.
Rajesh Dhiman said that paper receipts will no longer be given to applicants at a total of 26 seva kendras in the district as they will now get their payment receipts through SMS. He said that all the information on digital receipts will be available with normal paper receipts.
e said if the applicant wants a paper receipt, he will be given a signed and stamped receipt at no extra cost. He appealed to the citizens not to demand paper receipts and be a part of this environment-friendly initiative of the Punjab government.
DC said that the office copy of the receipt will be printed on the opposite side of the first page of the application form and will be signed and stamped by the operators of the Seva Kendra. In formless services a receipt will be printed on the reverse side of the service center system generated form if required. He said that the paperless fee receipt system will also save time of both service providers and consumers as it will also save time of printing receipts at seva kendra counters.
On this occasion Additional Deputy Commissioner (G) Ravinder Singh, District Technical Coordinator Talwinder Singh and District I.T. Manager Harpreet Singh was also present.
