Philanthropist Vipul’s hard work paid off, Tanish to get artificial limbs

Ferozepur June 3, 2023: You should never worry about being in the limelight. What you should worry about is what you like to do, as long as what you like to do is morally and ethically right, said Vipul Narang, said Philanthropist Vipul Narang, who contributed a lion’s share of Rs.1 lac for providing artificial limbs to Tanish, whose arms had to be amputated due to electrocution in 2018.
Tanish and his parents did not give up and fought with the circumstances and brought him up and continued his education.
Vipul Narang is a social activist and every day donates major part of his income to all sources for charity. Hardly anyone has been refused by him, whenever he has been approached for assistance in cash or kind and that is why, he has been given the name as Yes Man.
The approximate cost of both the artificial limbs would be around Rs.2 lac and apart from Vipul there is a contribution from other donors also including the Red Cross Society. Now, he has contributed Rs.1 lac to provide artificial limbs to Tanish – a student of 7th class at local school. He belongs to a very poor family whose father works at a Marble shop and mother is a housewife. Tanish is without both the arms by birth and his parents have sacrificed to bring him up, without cursing the Almighty as it is a natural biological process.
When I talked to Vipul, he said, serving people has bought me a tremendous amount of calmness. Nothing else matters to me now. I give credit to her daughter – who too had an eye-sight problem - for waking her up from her slumber, and forcing her to reflect on the purpose of his life. Then, I started the Spasht Drishti project to provide free specs to hundreds of students after proper refraction.
When asked as to how you get time for this charity work, Vipul said, Nature is very intelligent. Whether you are good looking or not, whether you are intelligent or not, whether you are rich or not, you only have 24 hours in a day. Just because you’re very good looking, you won’t get 48 hours. That’s the first thing I realized and learned to accommodate all problems or difficulties or solutions, in 24 hours.
I will be the happiest person when Tanish will get his artificial arms and start working normally, said Vipul with a choked voice but a different look in his eyes.
When talked to Dr.Navneet from Ludhiana - who is working on providing the artificial limbs to Tanish- said, Tanish is an intelligent boy. He has sensation in his right arm and censor will be fitted and with the passage of time, he will start doing some work. He further said, it will take a little time for the mechanism to work. I have awakened an effort, partly by my hard work by providing the censored mechanism in the artificial limb, partly by the inner desire of the child and partly by the grace of the Almighty, I have every hope that he will begin to do some routine work with one right arm.
