Ravneet Bittu pays tribute to 25 martyrs of the Moga incident

Moga, June 30, 2024: Ravneet Bittu, Minister of State for Railways and Food Processing Industry, Government of India, today paid tribute at Shaheedi Park in Moga, where 25 RSS Swayamsevaks were massacred on 25th June 1989.
During the shakha, terrorists opened fire, killing everyone on the spot After paying tribute, Ravneet Bittu visited the gallery displaying the martyrs' pictures and planted trees on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Ravneet Bittu emphasized that the supreme sacrifices of the martyrs cannot be forgotten and should be taught to future generations.
He highlighted the current drug crisis affecting Punjab's youth, criticizing successive governments, including Congress, Akali Dal, and AAP, for failing to address the issue.
He pointed out the recent three drug-related deaths in Moga district and announced that the Union Government of India will soon open 16 Narcotics Control Bureau offices across Punjab to combat the drug menace.
With the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, he expressed hope that Punjab will overcome this crisis.Bittu criticized the current government for their inaction, despite receiving a significant mandate from the people of Punjab.
He specifically targeted the Chief Minister, accusing him of incompetence and alleging that police transfers have worsened the drug situation.Bittu remarked on the unprecedented scenario of the Chief Minister and his family renting a house in Jalandhar for by-elections, highlighting their desperation.
Commenting on Amritpal Singh becoming a Member of Parliament from the constituency, Bittu argued that voters may have mistakenly believed Singh would be released from jail.
He stressed that the law is supreme, and any leader involved in anti-national activities will face justice. Bittu questioned what benefits the voters would receive when their MP cannot fulfill parliamentary duties.
Bittu, belonging to a family of martyrs, reflected on his connection, mentioning his grandfather, the late S. Beant Singh, who was assassinated by terrorists.
He empathized with the pain and anger of families who have lost loved ones. My grandfather who was Party President at the time of this massacre also visited the spot the very next day.
Praising the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Bittu acknowledged their significant role in society-building and reforms, noting that the RSS operates beyond caste and religion distinctions.
