These sessions are part of a state-wide drive by the Punjab government to promote physical and mental well-being through yoga, a free initiative.
Deputy Commissioner Deep Shikha Sharma highlighted the project as a transformative step towards integrating yoga into daily life. "The CM's Yoga Shala is a visionary project to provide free yoga education to the public, covering all four blocks of the district. It aims to enhance citizens' physical health and mental focus," she stated.
A dedicated team of experienced yoga instructors has been mobilized across Punjab to deliver accessible yoga training in public spaces like parks and community areas. The district's coordinator, Amanpreet Kaur, informed that under the guidance of state advisors Amresh Jha and Kamlesh Mishra, efforts are being made to connect more people to yoga across the district.
Citizens wishing to organize yoga sessions in their localities can form a group of 25 members and register by giving a missed call at 7669400500 or dialing 7888840115. These services are entirely free of cost.
This initiative not only focuses on physical fitness but also aims to foster mental clarity, concentration, and harmony with one's surroundings. With such robust participation, Ferozepur is setting a benchmark in adopting a healthier and more mindful lifestyle through yoga.
