All hurdles in planned urban development will be removed: Minister Hardeep Mundian
Special camp organized for issuing real estate clearance certificates for the second time

Chandigarh, December 5, 2024: Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab government is actively removing obstacles in the planned development of cities.
Committed to providing transparent, seamless, corruption-free, and hassle-free services to the residents of Punjab, a special camp was organized today for issuing clearance certificates related to real estate.
During this camp, Housing and Urban Development Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian and Chief Secretary K.A.P. Sinha handed over clearance certificates to 127 promoters/builders.
Mundian stated that the Punjab government is making efforts to boost investment opportunities in the state. As part of this, a second camp was organized today to prioritize and resolve the cases of promoters/developers. In the first camp held on October 16, 51 certificates for various services were issued.
In today’s camp, 127 certificates for licenses of colonies, completion certificates, partial completion certificates, letters of intent, zoning plans, building plans, promoter registration certificates, and layout plans were issued. Similar camps will be organized in the future as well.
The Minister emphasized that the department is committed to resolving the issues of promoters/developers on a priority basis with complete transparency.
An email ID, transparency.hud@gmail.com, has also been set up for promoters/developers to report their grievances, which will be addressed promptly.
He further assured that the government will ensure promoters/developers face no difficulties while encouraging them to provide maximum and high-quality facilities to the residents of their projects.
Efforts are also being made to improve public facilities at reception/single-window counters of various development authorities, such as water arrangements, proper seating areas with sofas and chairs, and token systems for services.
Mundian highlighted that the department recently conducted two e-auctions with complete transparency, generating revenue of around ₹5,000 crores, which will be utilized for the development of cities.Development works worth ₹639 crores have already been completed in various cities, and new projects worth ₹283 crores are being initiated.
Chief Secretary K.A.P. Sinha, while addressing the gathering, stated that providing transparent and seamless citizen services is the government’s top priority.
The Punjab government is taking the issue of pending work seriously, and today’s camp is an effort to clear pending cases in real estate by issuing certificates on the spot.
This initiative will not only benefit residents but also significantly boost the economic growth of the state. Similar camps will be held to resolve pending cases in other departments related to public services.
Rahul Tiwari, Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, added that the department has introduced various online services for allottees, achieving zero pendency for the first time. Promoters and developers, being integral to urban development, will now no longer have to face difficulties in getting their work done.
Moneesh Kumar, CA of GMADA, expressed gratitude to the chief guest, special guests, development authorities, promoters, and builders present at the event. Also in attendance were Special Secretary Apneet Riyat, CAs of BDA and PDA Manisha Rana, CAs of ADA and JDA Ankurjeet Singh, CA of GLADA Harpreet Singh, CA of PUDA Inayat, and representatives from the Confederation of Real Estate led by Jagjeet Singh.
