Patiala Music Festival: Poster for second edition unveiled

Patiala (Punjab), December 13, 2024: The Patiala Music Festival, being organised by the North Zone Cultural Centre (NZCC) at the historic Kalidas Auditorium, Patiala from December 18, is all set to be a big draw this season.
A poster featuring the iconic vocalists and instrumentalists of the country, who have been invited to perform live, was unveiled at the head office in Patiala here on Friday.

Dr. Manmohan Sharma, former Prof, Punjabi University, Patiala,
Dr. Alnkar Singh, HOD, Music Department, Punjabi University Patiala,
Pammi Bai, renowned Punjabi singer,
Ravinder Sharma, Asst Director, NZCC,
Dr. Jagmohan Sharma, former Prof. GCG, Patiala,
Dr. Jagjit Singh, HOD Music, Khalsa College, Patiala,
Prof. Rai Bahadur Singh, HOD, Music, Govt. Mohindra College, Patiala, and
Prof Harmohan Sharma, Associate Professor, Modi College, Patiala
The four-day classical musical soiree will witness some of the top-notch performers of the country, who will regale the audience with their craft.
On December 18, a soulful rendition by Shantanu Bhattacharya of Patiala Gharana, will set the ball rolling for a more musical surprises for the audience.
The others who will perform during the fest are, Gunjan Channa from Shimla (HP), Alankar Singh from Patiala, Ronkini Gupta from Mumbai, Uday Prakash Malik from Delhi and Saurabh Vashisht from Jaipur, offering a glimpse of the united colours of India.
However, the scintillating jugalbandi by instrumental music maestroesb - Yogesh Shamsi on tabla and Tanmay Dawachke on harmonium and Rajendra Prasanna on flute, will be the show stopping recital of the day.The fest will conclude on Dec 22 with a stellar sitar recital by Anupama Bhagwat from Bangalore, at 10.30 am, onwards.
The daily timings will be 6 pm onwards.On the concluding day (Dec 22), the timings will be 10 am, onwards.
