Massive fire engulfs Kullu village: 17 houses, deity's store, 6 cowsheds burnt to ashes; Read details

Kullu (Himachal Pradesh), January 1, 2025: In a massive fire in Tandi village under Banjar sub-division of the district, 17 houses of the village were completely burnt to ashes.
Along with this, 6 cow sheds were also burnt to ashes. While the storehouse of the deity Sheshnag situated in the middle of the village was also completely burnt.
According to the information, the fire first broke out in Dilip Singh's cowshed in Tandi village at around 3 pm on Wednesday afternoon. After that, the fire also engulfed the residential houses of the village.
The fire spread rapidly in houses made mostly of wood due to which 17 houses of the village were completely burnt to ashes. Apart from this, 6 cow sheds also fell prey to the fire.According to information, the storehouse of deity Sheshnag was completely burnt in this fire incident while some houses were partially damaged in the arson.
As soon as the information about the incident was received, Banjar's SDM and other officials reached the spot and started relief and rescue work. Banjar MLA Surendra Shauri also reached the spot as soon as the information about the incident was received.
According to the information, the loss in this fire is estimated to be around Rs 10 crore. However, the total loss has not been assessed yet. Because the fire has not been completely controlled yet.
The fire department employees are trying to control the fire along with the local people. At the same time, the administration has also provided proper relief to the fire victims. (SBP)
