Will Punjab Schools Change Timings? Child Rights Commission Writes to Government
Chandigarh, January 9, 2025: The Punjab State Commission for Protection of Child Rights has recommended changing school timings due to the ongoing cold wave and dense fog. In a letter to the Punjab government, the Commission suggested shifting school hours to 10 AM–3 PM until January 31. The move aims to prevent accidents caused by low visibility and freezing temperatures. Recently, schools reopened after a temporary closure, and an incident involving a school van underscored the need for this change.
