Journalist Tejinder Singh Saini bereaved, son dies horrific road accident in USA

Rupnagar (Punjab),February 2025: Harmanjit Singh (30), owner of Khairabad Printing Press and son of senior journalist Tajinder Singh Saini, died in a horrific multi-vehicle accident in a tunnel in the USA yesterday.
The accident occurred when Harmanjit Singh was transporting his trailer to the USA when he reached Salt Lake City due to a snowstorm in the Green River Tunnel, a vehicle skidded and went out of control in the tunnel, after which the vehicles behind him collided with each other.
These vehicles included trucks, cars and other vehicles. Due to a terrible fire in the truck next to Harmanjit's trailer, smoke filled the tunnel and the vehicles caught fire, due to which the tires kept bursting and some people escaped by breaking the windows, but Harmanjit and another vehicle driver were not able to get out. Harmanjit Singh and another person died and five people are also said to have been seriously injured in this accident.
On hearing this news, a wave of grief spread in Rupnagar, including villages Kheri Salabatpur, Khairabad and the area.
Harmanjit Singh used to work as a trucker in Canada's Dream Big Transportation Company. He had become a permanent resident of Canada a few months ago. His sister also lives in the Ottawa area of Canada.
In this hour of grief, all members including the constituency MLA Dinesh Chadha, former president of the Municipal Council Paramjit Singh Makkar, president of the Trade Board Parminder Pal Singh Bitta, and the president of the Rupnagar Press Club and the Sutlej Press Club expressed their condolences at the house of Tajinder Singh Saini in Suncity. District Police Chief Gulneet Singh Khurana has also expressed his condolences to the family.
