J-K CM lauds PAU-PABI startup M-Kelly Biotech Pvt Ltd Innovations

Ludhiana (Punjab), February 26, 2025: Dr Vipasha, founder of M-Kelly Biotech Pvt Ltd, participated in the prestigious startup product launch event organized by SKUAST K Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship Centre (SKIIE) at Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST), Srinagar.
The event served as a platform for emerging agri-based startups to exhibit their innovative solutions aimed at transforming the agricultural and biotechnology sectors.
Dr Vipasha had a significant interaction with Shri Omar Abdullah, Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, during the exhibition. The former CM was highly impressed by the innovative biotech solutions presented by M-Kelly Biotech Pvt Ltd, which focused on sustainable and natural skincare products derived from agricultural resources. He praised the company’s vision and encouraged further expansion to benefit farmers and consumers alike.
Speaking at the event, Dr MS Bhullar, Director of Extension Education, lauded the efforts of M-Kelly Biotech and other participating startups."The efforts of entrepreneurs like Dr Vipasha prove that agriculture and biotechnology can work hand in hand to create sustainable business opportunities," he remarked.
Dr TS Riar, Principal Investigator, Punjab Agri-Business Incubator (PABI), emphasized the significance of such events in strengthening the startup ecosystem.
"PABI has been actively supporting agri-based startups, and the success of M-Kelly Biotech at SKUAST is a testament to the potential of women-led entrepreneurship in the sector," he stated.
Dr Poonam Sachdev, Co-Principal Investigator, PABI, highlighted the entrepreneurial drive of Dr Vipasha."M-Kelly Biotech is a fine example of how scientific research can be translated into commercially viable solutions. The recognition received at SKUAST will further boost their growth trajectory," she noted.
The event witnessed the participation of various agri-startups, academicians, and industry experts, fostering discussions on emerging trends in biotechnology, organic skincare, and sustainable farming practices.
