Haryana MC Polls Results announced: BJP secures key Mayoral, Presidents positions; Check complete result

Chandigarh, March 12: Haryana State Election Commissioner Sh. Dhanpat Singh announced the completion of the vote counting for Mayor/Pradhan and Ward Member positions across various Municipal Corporations, Municipal Councils, and Municipalities. The election results have been declared, and winning candidates have received their certificates from the respective Returning Officers.
Key Mayoral Election Results
- Manesar: Independent candidate Dr. Indrajit Yadav won with 26,393 votes, defeating BJP's Sh. Sundar Lal (24,100 votes).
- Gurugram: BJP's Smt. Raj Rani secured a landslide victory over Congress' Smt. Seema Pahuja by 1,79,485 votes.
- Faridabad: BJP’s Smt. Praveen Joshi defeated Congress' Smt. Lata Rani by 3,16,852 votes.
- Hisar: BJP’s Sh. Praveen Popli won against Congress' Sh. Krishna Titu Singla with a margin of 64,456 votes.
- Rohtak: BJP's Sh. Ram Avtar triumphed over Congress' Sh. Surajmal Kiloi by 45,198 votes.
- Karnal: BJP’s Smt. Renu Bala Gupta defeated Congress' Sh. Manoj Wadhwa by 25,359 votes.
- Yamunanagar: BJP’s Smt. Suman Bahamani won against Congress' Smt. Kirana Devi with a 73,319-vote margin.
- Panipat: BJP’s Smt. Komal Saini defeated Congress’ Smt. Savita Sanjay Garg by 1,23,170 votes.
By-Elections for Mayoral Posts
- Ambala: BJP's Smt. Shailja Sandeep Sachdeva defeated Congress' Smt. Amisha Chawla by 20,487 votes.
- Sonipat: BJP’s Sh. Rajiv Jain won against Congress' Sh. Kamal Dewan with a 34,749-vote lead.
Municipal Council Pradhan (President) Elections
- Ambala Sadar: BJP’s Smt. Swarn Kaur secured victory by 26,923 votes.
- Pataudi-Jatauli Mandi: BJP’s Smt. Praveen Thakaria won against Congress' Smt. Rajrani Sudhir Chaudhary by 1,891 votes.
- Thanesar: BJP’s Smt. Maafi Devi triumphed over Congress' Smt. Sunita Kumari by 32,577 votes.
Municipality Pradhan (President) Elections
- Barara (Ambala): Independent candidate Sh. Rajat defeated BJP’s Sh. Harjinder Singh by 1,993 votes.
- Siwani (Bhiwani): Independent candidate Smt. Vandana Kedia won by 1,251 votes.
- Loharu (Bhiwani): Independent candidate Sh. Pradeep Kumar secured victory by just 43 votes.
- Farrukhnagar (Gurugram): Independent candidate Sh. Birbal Saini won with a lead of 1,157 votes.
The elections witnessed a stronghold of BJP in mayoral positions, while independent candidates made significant gains in municipality-level positions. The Haryana government has assured full cooperation for the newly elected representatives to accelerate urban development in the state.
