Chandigarh, March 16, 2025 – As the Swachh Survekshan survey approaches, Chandigarh Municipal Commissioner Amit Kumar, IAS, has urged residents to actively participate in citizen feedback, a crucial component in the evaluation process under Swachh Bharat Mission Urban 2.0.
Encouraging public involvement, the Commissioner emphasized the importance of citizen feedback in assessing the city’s cleanliness standards.
Residents can submit their opinions through the official online portal at sbmurban.org/feedback by answering a short survey on waste management, garbage collection, and overall sanitation.
This year’s Swachh Survekshan will evaluate cities on various parameters, including cleanliness, beautification, garbage-free star rating, open defecation-free status, and water sustainability. Public participation will be a determining factor in Chandigarh’s ranking.
Explaining the feedback process, the Commissioner detailed that residents must visit the portal, enter their mobile number, select a language, and answer ten questions related to cleanliness and waste management. An OTP-based verification will finalize the submission.
He appealed to all residents to contribute to keeping Chandigarh at the top of the Swachh Survekshan rankings, stating, “Public participation is key to the success of cleanliness initiatives. Your feedback will help shape a cleaner and greener Chandigarh.”
