Mayank Foundation to host 'The Green Canvas' under 'Environmental Education Program
Cyclathon, flower show, nature photography exhibition, painting competition, workshop on kitchen gardening and vermicomposting will be organized
Ferozepur, March 23, 2025: : With the aim of promoting environmental protection and sustainable development, Mayank Foundation is organizing “The Green Canvas” program under the ‘Lifestyle for Environment’ (LiFE) initiative funded by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India.
Foundation Secretary Rajiv Setia said that this program being organized for the first time in Ferozepur will be an important step towards promoting environmental awareness in the society and motivating people to adopt a green lifestyle. In this, various interesting and educational activities will be organized for students, teachers and the local community.
Main activities of the program:
Cyclathon: Cycling campaign to promote eco-friendly transportation and healthy lifestyle.
Kitchen Gardening Workshop: Training to promote organic farming and self-reliance at home.
Vermicomposting Workshop: Guidance on techniques of organic waste management and natural composting.
Flower and Ornamental Plants Exhibition: Highlighting the beauty of nature, biodiversity and importance of ecological balance.
Nature Photography Exhibition: Display of attractive photography showcasing the grandeur of nature and the need for its conservation.
Painting Competition: To encourage creative expression of children and youth on the theme “Mother Nature and Environmental Conservation”.
