Haryana Govt approves Rs 2.65 crore project to resolve waterlogging, salinity issues in Prithla

Chandigarh, March 27, 2025 – Haryana Irrigation and Water Resources Minister Smt. Shruti Choudhry announced that a Rs. 2.65 crore project has been approved to tackle waterlogging and saline groundwater issues in several villages of the Prithla Assembly Constituency.
Responding to a question in the Vidhan Sabha Budget Session, Minister Choudhry stated that farming has become impossible in villages like Bhanakpur, Nagla Jogian, Kabulpur Bangar, Mahola, and Laudiyapur due to excessive salinity and stagnant water.
Minister Choudhry emphasized that this initiative will restore agricultural viability in the region, benefiting local farmers and mitigating long-standing water management challenges.
