- SIT probing Col Bath thrashing case, gets new chief

  Chandigarh, March 28, 2025: The Punjab government has appointed IPS officer Amardeep Singh Rai as the new chairman of SIT formed to probe the assault of Colonel Pushpinder Singh Bath in Patiala.
  
  This comes after the IPS officer SPS Parmar who headed SIT was transferred and appointed as Chief Punjab Vigilance Bureau.
