Punjab Govt launches 'Aarambh' to involve parents in early childhood learning

Chandigarh, March 30, 2025: In a significant move to enhance early childhood education, the Punjab Government is set to launch ‘Aarambh’, a pioneering program designed to engage parents in their child’s learning journey through interactive, play-based activities.
Announcing this initiative, Social Security, Women, and Child Development Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur emphasized that ‘Aarambh’ aims to lay a strong educational foundation for young children by fostering cognitive, emotional, and social development.
In its first phase, the program will be rolled out in eight districts: Ludhiana, SAS Nagar, Patiala, Sangrur, Sri Muktsar Sahib, Tarn Taran, Ropar, and Amritsar. The initiative is expected to commence soon and will serve as a model for further expansion across Punjab.
Dr. Baljit Kaur highlighted that ‘Aarambh’ is more than just an educational program—it is a step toward strengthening the parent-child bond through meaningful learning experiences.By equipping parents with simple yet effective tools to support their children’s education at home, the initiative aims to make early learning more engaging and impactful.
The Minister assured that detailed implementation plans will be shared in the coming months and urged both parents and educators to actively participate in the program.
She reaffirmed that under the leadership of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government remains committed to ensuring the holistic development of children.
Concluding her remarks, Dr. Baljit Kaur emphasized that initiatives like ‘Aarambh’ play a crucial role in shaping the future of Punjab’s youth and contribute significantly to realizing the vision of a ‘Rangla Punjab’—a state thriving in education, culture, and development.
