Punjab AG Gurminder Singh tenders resignation: "I intend to resume my private practise..."

Chandigarh, March 30, 2025: Punjab Advocate General (AG) Gurminder Singh Garry has submitted his resignation to Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, citing his decision to return to private practice after completing 18 months in office.
In his resignation, Garry expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve as the state’s top legal officer.
The Punjab government is expected to announce a new Advocate General soon. According to sources, the frontrunners for the position include Ms. Anu Chatrath, Puneet Bali, APS Deol, and Akshay Bhan.
