Chandigarh, April 11, 2025: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) senior leader and former minister Bikram Singh Majithia has strongly condemned the brutal murder of a Gursikh woman reciting Sehaj Path in village Kang, Khadoor Sahib constituency, calling it one of the most heinous crimes in recent times.
Majithia said such incidents have become disturbingly frequent under the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government, and society is in shock. He drew parallels with the recent killing of a Sub Inspector by alleged AAP-backed individuals, claiming that law and order in Punjab has collapsed.
He criticized Chief Minister and Home Minister Bhagwant Mann, accusing him of being more focused on pleasing AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal than addressing the state’s worsening situation.
“Kejriwal has turned Punjab into his second home after being rejected in Delhi, and his team is now looting Punjab’s resources,” said Majithia.
Demanding immediate arrest of the culprit, the SAD leader urged the Union Government to reassess Punjab’s security and law and order, especially given its border-state sensitivity.
He also called on CM Mann to resign or start fulfilling his constitutional responsibilities to the people of Punjab.
