An important painting depicting the visual grandeur and historical depth of the Customs Heritage Gallery at Land Customs Station Attari was released today by Commissioner Customs Amritsar Alok Srivastava. This unique painting highlights India's first Customs Heritage Gallery, which has been set up at Attari.
The Customs Heritage Gallery in Attari showcases over 2,000 years of trade, proud history of people-to-people contact, evolution of culture and rich heritage of Indian Customs.
The picture released today beautifully depicts the historical artefacts, photographs, documents and architectural elements housed in the gallery by Harpreet Sandhu, State Information Commissioner Punjab.
Alok Srivastava, IRS Commissioner Customs, Puneet Gunawat, IRS Additional Commissioner Customs and Umesh Meena, IRS, Assistant Commissioner Customs, Amritsar were specially felicitated by Harpreet Sandhu, State Information Commissioner Punjab for this valuable contribution.
A passionate promoter of heritage, Harpreet Sandhu has consistently championed the cause of preserving and promoting Punjab's rich cultural heritage and his contributions have contributed to the awareness of Punjab's heritage not only within the state but also among the international communities.has been increased.
