Nawanshahr (Punjab), May 10, 2025 — With tensions easing following the announcement of a ceasefire between India and Pakistan, the SBS Nagar district administration has officially withdrawn its earlier orders regarding the closure of shops, hotels, restaurants, malls, cinema halls, and other business establishments.
Deputy Commissioner Ankurjeet Singh confirmed that the blackout order, initially set for Saturday evening, has also been revoked.
“The orders have been withdrawn following the ceasefire announcement. There will be no blackout, and all business establishments can operate as usual,” he said.
Singh urged residents to stay calm but remain vigilant. The administration’s move aims to restore normalcy across the district while ensuring public safety during this period of de-escalation.
