Toronto (Canada), June 2, 2025: Canada is making extensive preparations for the upcoming G-7 Summit, scheduled to be held in Kananaskis, Alberta from June 15 to 17. This major diplomatic event will bring together the leaders of the world's most advanced economies and invited partner nations.
In anticipation of the high-profile gathering, Canadian security agencies have declared special airspace over Kananaskis as a 'no-fly zone' to ensure maximum security for the attending dignitaries.
Ground and air surveillance will be intensified, and additional measures are being implemented to secure key venues and accommodation sites.
The G-7 comprises Canada, the United States, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, and Japan. However, this year, Canada has extended invitations to several non-G7 countries to join select discussions.
So far, leaders from Australia, South Africa, Ukraine, and Mexico have been invited, and sources confirm that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also received an official invitation.
