Breaking: Two Municipal Employees terminated in Punjab

Batala (Punjab), June 4, 2025 – In a strict disciplinary move, Vikramjeet Singh Panthe, SDM-cum-Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation, Batala, has terminated two employees of the city’s Fire Brigade for being absent from duty for the past five months.
The dismissed personnel include Sikandar Singh, a driver and son of Surta Singh, and Navneet Singh, a fireman and son of Dilbagh Singh. Both had failed to report to duty for an extended period without any formal intimation or justification.
“Municipal Corporation Batala is committed to serving the public efficiently. Any negligence or indiscipline on duty, especially in essential services like the Fire Brigade, will not be tolerated,” SDM Vikramjeet Singh Panthe stated.
He emphasized that strict administrative action will be taken against any employee who compromises public service due to negligence or lack of discipline.
The SDM has also issued a warning to other staff members, instructing them to perform their duties diligently and responsibly, with zero tolerance for carelessness.
