Chandigarh, June 10, 2025: In a significant boost to Punjab’s industrial sector, the Bhagwant Singh Mann-led government has disbursed ₹180 crore in industrial incentives within just the first two months of the financial year 2025–26.
This was announced today by Punjab Finance Minister Advocate Harpal Singh Cheema, who described the move as a key step under the ongoing "Punjab Industrial Revolution."
Issuing a press statement from Chandigarh, Cheema revealed that a total of ₹250 crore has been allocated for industrial development in the state budget for 2025–26.
Remarkably, 72% of this allocation has already been released, signaling the government’s proactive commitment to revitalizing Punjab’s industrial ecosystem.
“This substantial investment demonstrates the AAP government’s determination to foster a business-friendly environment and accelerate economic growth,” Cheema stated.
Industrial Focal Points & Fastrack Punjab Portal
Looking ahead, the Finance Minister emphasized that dedicated funds will be channeled into the creation of industrial focal points across multiple districts, forming the backbone of equitable regional development.
He also highlighted the launch of the Fastrack Punjab portal, describing it as a transformative digital initiative that will streamline industrial approvals and eliminate bureaucratic hurdles.
“The Fastrack Punjab portal will mark a historic shift in how industries operate in the state, making processes faster, more transparent, and investor-friendly,” he added.
Employment & Administrative Reforms
Cheema reiterated that industrial development is key to job creation, especially for the youth of Punjab.
He pointed out that the government is not only providing financial incentives but also undertaking sweeping administrative reforms aimed at eliminating red tape and facilitating the smooth setup of new industries.
“There will be no shortage of funds when it comes to strengthening the industrial backbone of Punjab,” he assured.
The Finance Minister credited the rapid progress to the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal, stating that the “Punjab Industrial Revolution” is poised to unlock the state's full economic potential.
With this integrated strategy—combining fiscal incentives, administrative reform, and technological innovation—the Punjab government aims to transform the state into a hub of industrial dynamism and inclusive prosperity.
