As part of the ongoing initiative by the State Government, 'War Against Drugs', it is essential to ensure that young individuals who have overcome addiction receive training tailored to their skills, enabling them to become employable.
This information was shared by Deputy Commissioner Showkat Ahmad Parray during the 'Skill Development' meeting, where he provided crucial guidance to the relevant department officials.
Additionally, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized that the state government is prioritizing youth employment and self-employment opportunities.
He also mentioned that camps should be regularly organized in the district to facilitate self-employment for young men and women.
Furthermore, the Deputy Commissioner was informed by Gagan Sharma from the District Programme Management Unit that a proposal has been submitted to the Punjab Skill Development Mission's head office to offer training for those who have undergone de-addiction at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Rehabilitation Centre.
Officials from various departments attended the event.
