BSF nabs Pakistani intruder near Ferozepur border, probe on

Ferozepur (Punjab), July 20, 2025: In a significant operation, troops of the 155th Battalion of the Border Security Force (BSF) apprehended a Pakistani national on Saturday as he attempted to illegally cross the international border into India near the Border Outpost (BOP) KMS in Punjab’s Ferozepur district.
According to BSF sources, the intruder was spotted near border pillar number 190/4.
The alert troops immediately signaled him to stop, but the suspect continued moving forward and managed to infiltrate around 80 meters into Indian territory before being apprehended.
The individual has been identified as Muzammil Hussain (24), son of Muhammad Hussain, a resident of Mian Channu in Khanewal district, Pakistan.Upon searching him, BSF personnel recovered 20 Pakistani Rupees, but no weapons or suspicious materials were found in his possession.
The detained Pakistani citizen has been taken to the BOP Barrier post for initial interrogation Security agencies are investigating whether he crossed the border unintentionally or if there was a deeper motive or plot behind the intrusion.
Following the incident, BSF has further intensified security measures along the international border to prevent any future breaches. The probe is ongoing.
